Frequently Asked Questions
Will transparency from my TGA file be kept?

Will the PNG file be larger than the original TGA?

However, for very simple images or those with limited color palettes, the difference might be minimal, or in rare cases, PNG could be slightly larger if the TGA was already highly optimized or had specific RLE compression (which this tool does not currently parse).
Can I convert animated TGA files to animated PNG (APNG)?
No. This tool is designed for static TGA images. If you upload a TGA, it will be converted into a single static PNG. Animated TGA is not a standard format, and converting to APNG requires more specialized libraries not supported by this tool.
