Frequently Asked Questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. All processing, including scanning for links, is performed directly in your web browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your computer, ensuring complete privacy and security.

Will this tool find URLs that are just plain text?

No, this tool specifically looks for embedded hyperlinks (annotations of subtype "Link"). It will not find URLs that are written as plain text but are not clickable within the PDF. For that, you would use the PDF to TXT Converter and then search the text.

Can I extract links from a password-protected PDF?

No, this tool cannot open or process password-protected or encrypted PDF files. You will need to remove the password using another tool before you can extract links here.
