How to Export Comments
- Paste Video URL: Enter the URL of the YouTube video whose comments you want to scrape.
- Set Options:
- Choose the maximum number of top-level comment threads to fetch (up to 500).
- Select sorting: "Top/Relevance" (YouTube's default) or "Most Recent".
- Decide whether to include the first level of replies (use the switch).

Why can't I scrape *all* comments?
Scraping all comments from popular videos can require thousands of API requests, quickly exhausting API quotas and incurring costs. This tool fetches a significant, user-defined number of top-level comments (plus optional replies) based on relevance or time, providing valuable data while managing usage.
What format is the exported data in?
The comments are exported as a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file, which can be easily opened in spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, or used in data analysis tools.
What does "Include Replies" actually fetch?
When checked, the tool requests reply data alongside the top-level comments. YouTube's API typically returns the first few replies directly. This option *does not* fetch *all* replies for every comment thread, as that would dramatically increase API usage.
Is this against YouTube's Terms of Service?
This tool uses the official YouTube Data API V3 following Google's developer policies. It accesses publicly available comment data within the API's intended use and quota limits. It does not bypass any YouTube restrictions.
